As an independent trainee, he took part in the reality competition Produce X 101. After placing 81st, he was eliminated in the fifth episode.
A wild idol for 2021
He debuted as the 18th competitor on the Wild Idol survival competition on August 10, 2021. Sadly, he was cast off in the third episode and was unable to continue in the competition.

Siwoo was introduced as the fourth member of the forthcoming boy band BLANK2Y on February 1, 2022, by Keystone Entertainment. On May 24, 2022, they made their debut with the mini album K2Y I: Confidence [Thumbs Up].
