Jimin, a member of BTS, demonstrated his widespread appeal as his solo album hit a significant milestone!
The title single, “Like Crazy,” from Jimin’s long-awaited solo album “FACE,” was released on March 23 KST. The physical album was published the same day, and according to the Hanteo chart, it sold a staggering 1 million copies on its first day of availability, breaking the previous record for Korean solo acts.
With this, Jimin has become the first male soloist in Hanteo history to have an album sell more than a million copies on its first day of release. Lim Young Woong’s “IM HERO,” which garnered about 940,000 first-day sales, had previously held the record.
The first solo album by the BTS member, titled “FACE,” has 5 songs in total, including “Set Me Free Pt. 2,” “Like Crazy,” “Face-off,” “Interlude: Dive,” and “Alone.” The title tune, which draws its inspiration from the 2011 romantic comedy of the same name, uses quotes from the movie to improve its emotional impact.
